Hi - I am Abbie Sophia. And I am honored to be here.

Based in Teaneck NJ, NYC Area, Israel and anywhere you fly me - nice to meet you! I can’t wait to see what I can give you today…

I studied English and Art History in college and went on to earn my LMSW, with my LCSW nearly complete. But somewhere along the way, photography found me.

My very first camera actually magically appeared — I accidentally sat on it in a cab on New Year’s Eve. I took that camera with me through Europe and beyond, never realizing the significance photography would eventually have in my life.

Before becoming a photographer, I spent four years working as a social worker in hospitals, nursing homes, a cancer center, and with individuals with developmental disabilities. That training — and everything I learned about people, connection, vulnerability, and what really matters — is woven into every session I photograph.

I believe life is beautiful in all of its hard, messy, meaningful ways. Be intentional. Choose yourself, your family - always gear yourself towards growth and kindness. Protect and nourish and appreciate - that’s what I am here for. When your children look back at your memories, what will they see?

Photography, to me, is about celebrating all of it. The milestones and the mundane. The way your children look at you. The way your family fits together. The way you love the people around you — and even the way you learn to love yourself.

My biggest goal is for the time we spend together to feel stress-free and that you love your photos. It did say fun, but for many photo taking is not fun — and I get it…

Life is perfectly imperfect. I will always do everything I can to make you look — and more importantly, feel — your very best. Remember, photos grow better with time. We are a team on this photography journey.

I don’t consider myself a photographer who needs to create something elaborate just for the sake of being creative. What matters most to me is creating images that feel classy, timeless, and true to you. I want your photographs to show real personalities, genuine connection, and the essence of the day exactly as it felt.

Your light is special. Your love is unique. Your family is yours. Your photographs should be, too.

One day, I hope to make Aliyah. Israel holds an incredibly special place in my heart and soul.

I am so grateful that you’re here. I can’t wait to meet you, hear your story, and hopefully have the privilege of documenting a little piece of it.

Thank you again for the honor.

absolutely yours,

Abbie
